Reeker's statement to change the state name

October 7, 2010, Skopje, Macedonia (WMC) - Yesterday's statement by U.S. Ambassador Philip Reeker in Stip, that "Macedonia will receive an invitation for full NATO membership as soon as they resolve the name issue", the World Macedonian Congress assessed and indecent appeals to the United States to remain consistent with the decision of November 4, 2004 for recognition of the state name and the strategic partnership with Macedonia. WMC from U.S. and European bureaucracies required to stop pressure on the Macedonian authorities and the public to change the state name Macedonia and to discourage simulations for its rekomponiranje or destabilize the government by achieving that goal, because it would destabilize Macedonia and the disturb the peace and security in the region!

Macedonia has no problem with his name, but NATO and the European Union in Athens, and they should decide in relation to the Greek fascist Aryan model of statehood and the ednorodna ednoverna nation. Macedonians in it will help, because in the Second World War with the Greek partisans defeated the Greek fascists and laid the foundations of the state of Hellas.

Macedonians in Macedonia to join in alliance with NATO alliance and the European Union, but if antimacedonianism of Athens, the Greek genocide over the Macedonians and national Nazi request to change the state name Macedonia values of solidarity to Brussels and Strasbourg with Hellas are rejects membership in these alliances of states!

Antimacedonianism, anti-Semitism, racism, Nazi-fascism, apartheid, discrimination and the suspension of universal human rights can not be value for solidarity in the NATO alliance and the European Union and therefore the pressure of U.S. and European bureaucracy to change the name of Macedonia as an independent sovereign state is a disgrace to American and European democracies.

Macedonia was part of the anti-fascist coalition of allied forces in the Second World War, Macedonia was part of the anti-terrorist coalition led by USA Today, Macedonia is the founder of the United Nations on the basis of the legal legacy of the succession of former SFRY and therefore unacceptable is the terror with which under the pretext of good neighborliness requires changing its state name.

WMC recalled that the Council of the European Union and the Badinter Arbitration Commission unequivocally declared that "the use of the name does not contain any kind of territorial claims against another state" and Macedonia's parliament by constitutional amendment in 1991 established that "Macedonia has no territorial claims to neighboring countries "and in 1995 the Law change the state flag.

Despite Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration with the EU and NATO strategic partnership with the United States preferred and Euro-Asian integration: strategic partnership with Turkey, Israel, Russian Federation, India, China, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Arab League and Islamic Conference.

Clearly the E.U and NATO do not accept us the way we are, and the way we want to be known.

The Gruevski government has already made it clear that 'the people will decide' - which is another way of saying that our political extinction/survival will come down to a vote, even though there are probably about 20% of the population (or more Albanians) who would happily see us distintegrate. What are those morons thinking? Are they purposefully painting themselves into a corner? Are the purposefully putting pressure on themselves to make it look as though 'they have no choice', and then do it?

What ever happened to simply asking that our natural rights be respected?

I mean, whatever happened to the whole 'bilateral forumula' BULLSHIT we were hearing a few years ago.

Everything that has happened over the past few years indicates one thing. The 'negotiation process' is by degrees driving us toward political extinction. Our enemies are now waiting only for a dickhead politician to have a brain explostion, or get in - and its all over for us.

What is clear is that the Macedonians are bowing down to Western pressure.

We can blame the West for putting pressure on us to change our name, but ultimately individuals in the Macedonian government must be held responsible and accountable for exposing us so dangerously, and bringing our political existence to the brink of extinction.

Melbourne, Australia and Toronto, Canada (December 10, 2010) - The Australian Macedonian Human Rights Committee (AMHRC) and Macedonian Human Rights Movement International (MHRMI) condemn the Albanian government's continued threats against Macedonians in the Golo Brdo area for conducting Macedonian language classes. Since AMHRC and MHRMI's announcement of funding for the language classes (see www.mhrmi.org/news/2010/february14_e.asp), Albanian government officials, secret service agents, and police have tried to prevent the classes from taking place and have issued death threats against the Macedonian teachers.

“We feel like third class citizens. We feel degraded; how can it be that we live in a country in the 21st century, with a police force that bans the learning of one’s mother tongue?”, asked an angry Edmond Osmani, President of the Golo Brdo local committee of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration – a Macedonian political party working to protect the rights of Macedonians in Albania.

AMHRC, MHRMI and the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration reiterate our demand to the international community to hold Albania accountable for its persecution of its Macedonian minority and force Albania to uphold its obligations regarding minority rights under international human rights law.

AMHRC and MHRMI also affirm that we have expanded our funding of Macedonian language classes throughout Albania, and have opened a new kindergarten in the village of Vrbnik.
