the main game now is the macedonian struggle for our republic survival and recognition as macedonia and the nurturing and support for human rights movements for macedonians in the occupied areas of macedonia.

the sooner we put our egos aside and concentrate on that the better.
    Well said Osiris.

      Well said Osiris.

Lack of pro-activity has seen the Macedonian language classes held at the VSL Box Hill branch close. VSL The nearest VSL Macedonian language class in the S/SE suburbs in Melbourne is at the VSL Dandenong branch. This is now also staring closure in the face.

There are literally thousands of Macedonians living in these areas of Melbourne and very few support any Macedonian activities.

What do to get our people back into the mix. Many are not interested in the politics, so get them in on culture. This won't work either due to only one Macedonian church in that side of the city.

Things went really pear shaped about 20 years ago and we have to work out how to get it right.

A shame our spiritual leader only added to the on coming problems.

As far as Australia goes we can look at Adelaide to see what went on amongst our people. I say Adelaide as it is a small community that had one community centre and one church.

Our generation has much to learn from the generation before us. They did many things right. And they did many things wrong.

The right was holding on to all that was Macedonian with all their might. They fought against the odds. The wrong was they were never prepared to bring newer, younger generations into the fold. Far too many people left our communities.

Time we set out a set of achievable goals and get them out to ALL MACEDONIANS.

In the '90's Mike Rann sent out letter to every South Australian resident who had a Greek sounding name telling them he would support them (the Greeks) if they voted for him.

We need to send out mail to everyone who's name ends in 'ski, 'ska, 'ov, 'ova, 'ev, 'eva, a, o, ou, os, ous, opoulos, is, as, ic...... Did I miss any?

      Whadaya reckon?
From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov, Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them in early 1927, they were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they were leaving Lerin they were heard to shout "With our death, Macedonia will not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it"
