    Blazhe Koneski

There are claims that Blazhe Koneski's maternal uncle was none other than Gligor Ljamev - better known as Gligor Sokolovic.

A Macedonian from the same birth village of Blazhe Koneski (Nebregovo) who initially fought for VMRO but later due to receiving some nice gold coins from the Serbs switched sides and joined the Anti Macedonian chetnik movement.

Has anyone else heard anything about the Blazhe Koneski/Gligor Ljamev connection?

yeah there is a you tube spiel about him.Yes the bulgarians were trying to discredit him and people saying he was anti macedonian by serbinizing the language. At least there was some kind of recognition and prominence of the macedonian language.

Thanks George, I saw the video, looks like it was made by some Bulgarofil.

I saw this on the video information section.

Blazhe Koneski (with the baptized name of Blagoje Ljamevich) was born in 1921 in the village Nebregovo, Prilep. He comes from a family known as Ljamevci. The most famous among them is the uncle of Blaze Koneski Gligor Ljamev Sokolovic, who was known for spreading pro Serb propaganda and working with the Turks, He was a great enemy of VMRO in Macedonia and killed many komiti and dukes.

For the Pro Serbian orientation in his family, it is recognized by Blazhe Koneski when he says: "Our village and other surrounding villages inclined towards Serbian propaganda. That twist is credited with a cousin of my father, the Duke Gligor Sokolovic. Known as Head of a Serbian band. "(Andreevski C .; Conversations with Koneski-, Skopje, 1991, page 76).

The school in Kragujevac (Serbia) with their peers from Macedonia Blazhe communicated in Serbian, because as he put it "didn’t understand them" in the Macedonian dialects. In an interview he said: "Our conversational language in Kragujevac, in the dormitory, was Serbian, amd the Macedonian language, it was hard for me to keep up with the Gevgelija dialect" (Andreevski C .; Conversations with Koneski-, Skopje, 1991 , page 79).

Blaze Koneski (Baptized as Blagoje Ljamevic ) was born in 1921 in the village Nebregovo, Prilep. He comes from the family known as the Ljamevci. This family even during the Ottoman occupation has activists who served the Serbian propaganda in Macedonia who often collaborated with Turkey in its fight against Macedonian komiti and VMORO.

The most famous among them is Gligor Ljame Sokolovic who was Blazhe’s paternal uncle. The crimes of this Janissary, Serbian Chetnik, was mentioned in the poem that is written by our famous folklorist Mark Cepenkov (Cepenkov, M .; Macedonian folklore, Skopje, 1972, page 254-255).

For the prop Serbian orientation in his family Blaze Koneski recognises this when he says: "Our village and other surrounding villages inclined towards Serbian propaganda. he is credited with a cousin of my father, the Duke Gligor Sokolovic. Known as Head of a Serbian band. "(Andreevski C .; Conversations with Koneski-, Skopje, 1991, page 76).

Blaze’s Gligor Sokoloviћ spreading the prop Serbian propaganda and working with the Turks, was a main enemy of VMRO and killed many Macedonian komiti and dukes. Therefore, VMRO carries the death sentence for him in 1910 and Gligor Sokolovic was killed.

When in 1912 in Vardar Macedonia was occupied by Serb occupiers, Koneski’s grandfather (Kone Ljameviћ) and father of Blaze (Ordan Ljameviћ) become associates of Serbian occupation and directly participating in the killing and persecution of families of Macedonian revolutionaries in Prilep. In 1915, after the expulsion of Serbian forces in Macedonia by the Bulgarian occupiers, because their crimes as a Serbian agent grandfather Blaze Koneski went into hiding, they managed to save themselves and hide in Prilep, staying alive. After the First World War, the Serbs again occupy Macedonia and Ordan Ljamevic father of Blaze Koneski, for their service to the Serbian government and participation in actions against Macedonian patriots, Serbs him up as a clerk in the municipality. As a child of a Serbian diplomat, the rest of his life Koneski- Blaze enjoys privileges at the end to reach the title "Academic".

Blazhe continues his education in Kragujevac, Serbia, which is a center for the creation of Serb propagandists, where he also attended school with Lazar Koliševski and Strahil Gigov, and other figures of Serbian propaganda after 1945, and to this day some are in state management positions and cutting the fate of Macedonia.
