    I don't ,and i don't think this is a conspiracy.

I don't think it's a conspiracy more than anything else is a conspiracy and there a lot of conspiracies out there. However, this particular issue is quite well explainable without conspiracies.

The SANU (Srpska Akademija Nauka i Umetnosti - Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts) has rejected the Slav Migration theory as well as the theory that modern Albanians are descendants of Illyrians. I heard of other that also reject the Slav Migration theory but it is mostly individuals, professors from various universities and academies, some of them with very high reputation, but mostly in Slavic countries. That is what makes it so hard sometime. The best experts on Slavic history live in Slavic countries or are Slavic speakers by origin. Therefore when they make revisionist claims their opposition will argue that they are biased and doing it for nationalistic reasons. I find that to be a very convenient excuse and ad hominem argument.

i.e., according to this passage, Philotas had need of translators in order to understand the mother tongue.

there are many more, but all gone through already.

                            Macedonian police seize stolen antiquities
                            11 hours ago

SKOPJE, Macedonia (AP) — Authorities have seized dozens of stolen ancient artifacts after raiding the homes of two suspected antiquities smugglers in southern Macedonia.

Police confiscated about 70 archaeological items, including coins, terracotta figurines, pieces of silver and bronze jewelry and amphora dating from the Hellenistic and Roman periods in the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C., police spokesman Ivo Kotevski said Wednesday.

They are believed to have been stolen from Isar, one of Macedonia's largest archaeological sites in the south.

Isar, in southeastern Macedonia, has been identified as the site of the ancient city of Idomenae. Archaeologists have found traces of habitation there from the 6th century B.C. until Roman times, and an ancient cemetery excavated in the area contained burials from the 10th century B.C.

The artifacts were found in the homes of two brothers who had previous convictions for antiquities smuggling, Kotevski said.

Macedonia has some 6,000 registered archaeological sites. Experts warn that since the country gained independence from Yugoslavia 17 years ago, the antiquities have become increasingly vulnerable to looters who use sophisticated navigation and excavating equipment.

Macedonian locality may be long lost kingdom of Pelagonia

Washington, September 25 (ANI): Latest discoveries by archaeologists have shown a massive royal grave site in a village known as Bonce in Macedonia, one of a kind in the Balkans, which has led them to suggest that the locality may be the long lost kingdom of Pelagonia.

The grave site was discovered by a team led by Professor Viktor Lilcic.

According to the way this was built, the brilliance behind it, and just from the sheer size of the grave site, we believe the king of Pelagonia had been buried here, said Dr. Antonio Jakimovski, coordinator of the Archeological Research.

The grave site is from the 4th century B.C. when the kingdom of the Pelagonians was around. It was suggested the site had been robbed even in Antic times.

This is one of the rarest gravesites not just in the Balkans, but globally that goes back to the 4th century BC, said Jakimovski.

The site is located right underneath the hill of Visoka where it is suggested to be the site of the city of Pelagonia.

Unfortunately, the Government did not allocate funds this year for the Visoka location.

Archeologists have been searching for the city of Pelagonia and the Pelagonian kingdom for more than 150 years.

This find will undoubtedly make funds available for Visoka in 2009.

Just two years ago, near the hill of Visoka were discovered three Macedonian Shields of King Demetrij with the Vergina Sun embedded on them. The shields are currently undergoing restorations.

When completed, the world will see for the first time how did the shields of the Macedonian phalanx look like. (ANI)
