    Is it all about money?

Why should the Macedonians give up jurisdiction of any part of their country, because that is what being a member of the E.U requires, and while Prolet is quick to highlight the apparent 'positives' we need to consider whats important here, and get some perspective. The E.U does not recognize Macedonia, or the Macedonians.

They give you money, they got you by the balls. Not a positive at all.

There is no illusion that eventually the eus stated aim is to become one economy. This is the ultimate destination on this path. It is being painted as no other alternative in facing the global economy. The usa are a force and so is china. Europe either falls divided or stands united. Good in theory but their always will be less lucrative jobs such as farming and more lucrative ones such as telecommunications energy banking and medicines. Have you noticed the jostling between power companies banks and others to be the dominant player or one of few dominant players in Europe.

The problem is the eu is not recognising Macedonia and the Macedonians are thus far refusing to lie down and fit neatly in their vision as north or new Macedonians. Greece not only wants this but expects it that is why they are stretching their economic tentacles in Macedonia beit banking or the casinos ect. Basically it is go it alone or prove beyond any doubt we are Macedonians. Gruevski is playing the give us money to get on the so called right track so we can resolve the name issue and move on to gain economic stability and reduce economic pressure to capitulate while looking for whatever will prove the truth. 127 odd counties already believe us the rest claim they need more proof. Anybody who can do this be it in the digs or archives of old documents should.

A sensible and reasonable politician would not be putting so much at stake, certainly not for the promise of money, right? Is that what is happening over there? Have these Macedonian politicians potentially jeopardized our historical identity, and the countless sacrifices made by Macedonians in the past - all to join a club, or to get "Free" money? There is no such thing as free money. Negotiating isn't a condition of getting these benefits. If Macedonia wants to make it a condition, then Europe will make it a condition too. I am telling you that we are being betrayed by these individual Macedonians.

There is no rational, resonable or moral basis for doing what this Macedonian government is doing right now.

Im not sure thats a bad thing, its only 45 million Euros and they wont be given out just like that, it will help pay to improve the rural areas and agriculture. Europe will have alot to gain out of this, its in their interests aswell.

Region of the European Union - 2009 Edition

In the paper, Republic of Macedonia is already integrated as region in Europe, and the part of Macedonia under Greece is signed as "PHASING-OUT Region (page 8).

              Some interesting Reading...

What are your thoughts on this..?
The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!

Greek antiquization sponsored by EU funds!

The European Union had last year approved 14 million euros of their funds to the Greek Government for building a museum dedicated to Alexander the Great.
The museum is built in Pela, Aegean Macedonia.

Macedonian archeologists followed the news by shrugging their shoulders - "that's the EU for you" said one archeologist working at the Skopje Kale, adding "you'd think they (Greece) use the money to finance their problems".

Head of the Macedonian Cultural Heritage Pasko Kuzman explained the situation in Macedonia and Greece.

                - You don't expect Greece to have any issues for their attention to antiquities, museums... The EU doesn't scold them for 'antiquization' which is a term coined by some of our media.
We don't need the EU to scold us for using our own money, we have people in Macedonia who are paid to gauge our eyes out for even thinking of putting monuments - says Pasko Kuzman.

Greece has worked for decades on usurping Balkans' history. The "Macedonian" chapter started in the late 1980's.

                1. Where was the European Union when Greece suddenly named Northern Greece into "Macedonia".
                2. Where was the EU when the Airport in Solun abruptly was changed into "Macedonia".

No comment from the EU when a monument of Phillip was erected in Solun in the 1990's, or when Greece set up Macedonian symbols at all their borders.

Now compare this to the bizarre messages coming from the EU when Macedonia was investing money in our culture.
The EU scolded every Macedonian archeological find, every monument, even though it was funded with our money and on our land - concluded Pasko Kuzman.

The purpose of the media is not to make you to think that the name must be changed, but to get you into debate - what name would suit us! - Bratot

                  Excellent article.
Why didn't an author claim it?
Why don't Macedonian politicians claim it (more importantly)?

It makes me sick that the greeks can rape our land and show off the spoils as their own... They have not had any part of Macedonia for even 100 years. Rapists and thieves

and then we even get that idiot Rann accusing us of purportedly stealing history and culture!? where was this clown in the 1980s before Greece usurped - I mean stole, our name? it seems he has the relevant prerequisites to be an EU politician.

In recent threads questions were asked about what the diaspora can do for Macedonia. Following gruevskis lead and help fund more of these digs would be one thing. RTG once said altruism is dead so stuff it. Here’s one for the presidents letter box.

The Macedonian lottery could take a leaf out of the Australian tatts lotto web site and how easy it is for a client to self manage their account. When its easy to buy a ticket in the Macedonian lottery then every body in the diaspora should be encouraged to buy a ticket for Macedonia. Say for example a AUD$5.00 ticket would not be too pricy and attract more buyers. How many Macedonians are there world wide. You do the sums.
Buy one for Macedonia and a new sun could rise over you.

i would go further and say that a Macedonian Lottery with a heavy, tax free cash prize, may attract buyers among non Macedonians as well. Hospital lotteries in Canada are a cash cow. Internet based sales would make buying tickets a breeze.
