His mother is from Krushevo, and his father is from Neveska.

His Vlach great-great-grandfather from Neveska, Ioannis Boutaris, was one of the Founders of Nea Filiki Etaireia - a Greek revolutionary organization founded in 1867 under the name The organization was founded in Pisoderi (a Vlach village), located 17 km west of Lerin/Florina.

The leading founders of this organization were all Vlachophones: Anastasios Piheon from Ohrid, Nikolaos Filipidis from Malovishte, Ioannis Argiropoulos (born in Bogatsko, village near Kostur), I. Boutaris, etc.

Many members of this organization were Macedonians as well, such as Dame Kusev from Prilep and others from the same town.

This is just how he sounds (you can hardly understand what he's saying). Yes, he has fully recovered, and as many former alcoholics he doesn't drink a drop.

Notice Macedonian nationalists don't attack sites dedicated to Mother Teresa in Skopje.
Macedonia has a long tragic history with the Turk, yet Bitola has a museum dedicated to Ataturk. It has boosted relationship with the Turks and i'm sure it has benefited the city through tourism to some extent, financially.

This museum was welcomed by everybody in Bitola. It just shows how civilized we are. We don't forget, but we forgive.

You sound like you know a lot more about him than I do Carlin but "his father's family originates from the town of Moscopole, now in Albania", according to Wikipedia.

We’re not ungrateful. Thessaloniki also celebrates Ataturk's achievements with a monument on Pontic Genocide.

I don't know any more than you do, it's all on Wikipedia / online. : ) They seem to originate from Moscopole but so do the Krusevo Vlachs - all of them.

The Moscopole claim of descent of many Vlach communities has assumed mythical and legendary proportions nowadays.
