I have checked through this link and downloaded the PDF of Hieronimus Megiser, I can't see any part of the dictionary where it refers to our language as Macedonian, and I haven't been able to find much about this Drazen Budisa Tangra fellow either, who apparently called our language Macedonian in 1603. Have I misunderstood something here?In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Hi to all. i found this link where some of Megiser's works are described. But it contains only a samples.
The version in which the Macedonian language should be mentioned should be in the dictionary from 1603. (Thesaurus Polyglottus / Dictionarium Multilingue, 1603). I couldn't find it anywhere on internet in digital format. I found some links from libraries where the dictionary is located.
-- OLA001 21.899
Maybe someone close to these locations can obtain a photocopy or photo from some of the pages so we can check if the information is true.

It would be quite a find to have a document that refers to our language as Macedonian from 1603. If what some people have said is true, then we must locate this text.In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Surely somewhere this book is available to us, lets all work together and visit our local libraries and ask for it.
It is all a matter of time and some work!
Welcome Ramo and thank you for the above information.Macedonian Truth Organisation

On the links that Ramo posted, it keeps mentioning Frankfurt. Perhaps one of our members from Germany can look into it? If there is a place in Australia where it can be obtained I am happy to go and check it out. Otherwise, come on Daskale, you've been known to find sources that we never thought we would get our hands on, you're the magician here!In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Hello to all.
Recently i remembered that i was looking for this book from 1603 some time ago. I checked here to see if anyone has found something. Because probably no one had time and means to locate the book i was referring to, i searched on internet again and found out that Ebooks on demand http://books2ebooks.eu () was able to digitalise this book as electronic pdf version. I saw an offer on their web site that said they have a promotion of about 10 euros per any book until the end of 2012 http://books2ebooks.eu/en.
The University Library in Bratislava offers EOD eBooks for 9.90 euros per book, despite the number of pages, until the end of the year 2012! The campaign price is valid for the books in their collections and subject to the EOD service.
So i was wondering if there is a way everyone interested on the forum to donate about 1 euro and some of the administrators of the macedoniantruth forum to take responisibility to receive the donations and order the book because it will be very interesting to see if really there is a western source that names our language Macedonian in the beginning of the 16 century. If you have any other ideas please share them.

Nevermind, i just misunderstood something ...
Well, if an administrator volunteer to take the responsability to receive the money and order the book, i will maybe donate a couple of euros. But 316 euros is expensive, especially for an e-book. Try to negociate to obtain it for 9.90 euros, if my eyes are not mistaken, it's written : "The University Library in Bratislava offers EOD eBooks for 9.90 euros per book, despite the number of pages, until the end of the year 2012!".
