    Ohrid Conference Recommendations

    A colleague of mine will be attending quite a reputable international conference which will be held in Ohrid later this year and she said she would ask me later on for recommendations on what she should visit while she's there. So, I was wondering if I could build on some existing places that i could think of off the top of my head.

    Basically ill tell her that just walking around the city would be interesting, but also list some specific places she might like to see.

    Places and Sites
    - Jv Jovan Kaneo
    - Plaošnik
    - Sveti Naum
    - Biljana Springs
    - Samoil's Fortress
    - Roman Ampitheatre
    - Čaršija

    Good Restaurants?

    Specific Events around early September?

    Sveti Kliment Ohridski

    And the Night life (Clubs) is great
    The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!

              Sydney, What about a trip to Sveti Naum and Pogradec?

              Bij, Struga should be looked at too, its so close to Ohrid its like 10km away

                Gradishte is a very nice beach, definitely must go there.

                If you are looking for night life, Park and Colosseum are good.

                For good fish, there is a restaurant at the end of the charshija to the right side, it is fenced in literally centimeters from the water, I don't remember the name but you'll know it when you see it.

                Struga has some great sights also, but I will only recommend them if you have enough time there. If she can only stay for a week or two, then she won't have time to see all the sights in Ohrid, let alone Struga.
