Drugs and Coal are the main resources in Kosovo and the secondary one is Oil.

I hear that Kosovo is a safe heaven for Drug mafias.

It looks like they are trying to head-off anything happening.

700 NATO soldiers arrive in Kosovo

      Wednesday, 25 April 2012
KFOR Commander, German General Erhard Drews, said Tuesday that additional 700 NATO soldiers are expected to arrive in Kosovo by Friday, but refused to specify why and where they would be deployed.

Earlier today, KFOR Spokesman Uwe Nowitzki also confirmed the arrival of the troops in a written statement for the Tanjug news agency.

"The second battalion of the Operational Reserve Force has been activated and will deploy to Kosovo shortly," the statement reads.
Vienna and Berlin previously said they would deploy additional KFOR troops to Kosovo ahead of the elections, from the Operational Reserve Force, composed of Austrian and German soldiers.

According to the announcement, the troops will be stationed at points in the city of Kosovska Mitrovica and Albanian villages in the municipalities of Zvecan and Zubin Potok, where local elections are planned to be held.

A total of 550 German and 150 Austrian soldiers should be deployed at the lines dividing the two ethnic communities in northern Kosovo.

It's not only because I live in Vermont that I post a video from Parenti, though, he's probably Vermont's finest progressive but I think this is one explanation as to what US wants from Kosovo and the rest of the world.

lol as a Greek I can tell you no one here cares about Kosovo. I always thought of it as an independent state. Oh well, hopefully this mega war won't cause damage to Macedonia or Greece.

Think about BBS there's an element of truth do you think that the serbs care nuch for us i doubt it.We shouldn't care as well. There is a a case to worry only for ouselves. If we don't care for ourselves no one will.Biggest mistake for macedonia is to let the army numbers fall i don't know how ready the police are.?
"Ido not want an uprising of people that would leave me at the first failure, I want revolution with citizens able to bear all the temptations to a prolonged struggle, what, because of the fierce political conditions, will be our guide or cattle to the slaughterhouse"

^An independent Kosovo isn't in the interests of Macedonia and if you think it is, you're fucking retarded. Likewise, a "Republic of Illirda" is the last thing Serbia needs.

Macedonian/Serbian issues aside - Kosovo shouldn't have been torn away from Serbia. It has set a terrible precedent in the Balkans and is a big reason why Albanian extremists were emblodened in Macedonia (and elsewhere). Having said that, the Yugo/Serbian government could've approached the Kosovo issue in a more appropriate way and possibly kept it. FoM, what would be your response if one was to argue the same against the Serbs who created their own republic in Bosnia?
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.
