Minority Rights - Albanians in Macedonia

Yesterday, Nevzat Halili, an Albanian extremist and former MP, declared an independent "Republic of Ilirida" in Cair (Skopje).

Obviously they don't have enough 'rights' yet! Which begs the question - what are minority rights and should minority groups even have any more rights than everyone else?
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations...This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. John Adams

That was quick. Here is what was posted on another thread:
    Macedonia Press Review – September 15, 2014

    UTRINSKI VESNIK

The self-proclaimed president of Republic of Ilirida, [which includes western parts of Macedonia where Albanians make the majority] , Nevzat Halili told the on-line edition of the Albanian language newspaper Lajm that he had postponed the proclamation of the republic for a near future after a request from the international factor. The proclamation of Ilirida had been initially scheduled for Monday. Previously, Hamdi Ndrecaj known as panther told media he has been named a General of Ilirida’s National Guard. He appealed to the Macedonian authorities not to provoke any conflicts with the Albanian people and their right to self-determination.
What he has done may be argued as treason and if so should be treated as such by law.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

I wonder if they even have a law against treason...

They do, it's consequences are political promotion
“There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part, you can’t even passively take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you’ve got to make it stop, and you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all” - Mario Savio

That's right. Talat Xhaferi got a promotion and was put in charge of the military. Quite harsh.
