    Thanks Mikail (welcome BTW),
    What is an "indige-Greek-Macedonian"?

On the other hand they call us Skopje sometimes and FYROM other times.

Northern Greece is the most populous part of Greece. Why is that Greeks? And are the transplanted people more Macedonian than the natives of Macedonia?

Every paragraph can be shot down. Is the world interested enough in the Macedonian message for it to matte? We Macedonians will do our best to ensure it will matter.

Hi Risto, Nice to be here.

      What is an "indige-Greek-Macedonian"?

This would be a refugee from Asia Minor If we look at the history of the reign of Venizelos, we will find that he went searching the Arab World for Orthodox Christians. He declared these Christians "Greek by genus" due to their faith and had these people shipped to our lands.

Today, these Arabic Christians declare themselves to be Macedonian. These same Arabs deny our existence and claim our culture, our history and our mother land as their own.

      Funny isn't it?

Why does the banner say Solun and not Thessaloniki?

              Correct way

              Interesting article though.

It does raise many informative points that the neutral reader can research.

Good question, why is that, what would your answer be?

When you are at it, why is Florina called Florina because it is not the correct Ancient form of the name.......

I think Solun is Turkish/Bulgarian in origin, Thessaloniki is Hellenic.

As for Florina, the ancient name was Chlerinon.

Just like Bitola was known as Monastirion.

The bible says Thessaloniki and Thessalonians.

King Cassander named the city Thessaloniki after his wife.

Where did Solun come from if it is not Turkish or Bulgarian?

#1 Good that you tells us what you think, Thessaloniki evolved over the millenias that went by, it became Solun with time, the Turks called it Selanik, Westerners called it Salonica, by the way many Romeoi called the city and they still do to this day, Salonika, so you see the name Solun is in no way a new name or Bulgar or Turkish, it is calle language evolution and it happens in all languages, Solun is true to the Ancient Macedonian name of Thessaloniki, the domination over the Thessalians.

#2 Good you know your history, so why in the whole world arent you Greeks renaming the city to just that, but instead stick with the Latinisation of the same name?
At least we Macedonians stay true to the name as we do with Solun, Lerin is just the short form of chLERINon.

#3 Wrong, Bitola was not known as Monastirion/Monastiri/Monastir/Manastir until the Ottomans entered the Balkans, why else can you still find the beautiful city of Monastir in Tunisia, what connects both cities, Greeks or Ottomans....... I would say Ottomans with a very high probability.

Lets not forget about the name Heraclea Lyncestis, which would tie it to Hellenic origins would it not?
